Anodising

In-House Anodising for Tighter Quality Control

Having anodising under the same roof as machining is a quality control decision. When parts move between machining and surface treatment without leaving the building, we can inspect off-line, run high-risk dimensional features through the CMM if needed, and anodise with full visibility into the component's history.

That means less risk of damage in transit, no spec miscommunication between suppliers, and parts finished to a consistent standard, run by the same quality team that inspects every other part in the building. Lead times are reduced by up to two weeks compared to outsourcing the process.

Our anodising line is Mil-Spec certified to MIL-PRF-8625 standards, covering applications including:

Current Anodising Capabilities

We offer a range of anodising services to meet your specifications:

Type II, Class I

Available in clear and black finishes. A heavier coating suited to harsh environmental conditions including marine/coastal climates and continuous outdoor exposure.

Type II, Class II

Available in clear and black finishes. A more cost-effective, thinner coating suited to interior or light exterior applications with regular maintenance.

Type III Hard Anodising

Creates a significantly thicker, denser layer with surface hardness comparable to case-hardened steel. Primarily used to enhance wear resistance, corrosion protection and electrical insulation in high-stress, abrasive and extreme environments. Withstands extreme operational temperatures and repetitive mechanical stress. Prevents galling, binding and excessive wear on parts subject to frequent friction.

We deliver high-quality anodised finishes where durability and corrosion resistance are critical. Our team has built Mil-Spec expertise across industries with some of the most demanding standards in the world.

Where a specific standard is required that falls outside our current scope, we have the capability to research and implement new standards as needed.
